Junior Scholars

Spartanburg County School District Six participates in the South Carolina Junior Scholar Identification and Development Program.  To become a Junior Scholar, eighth grade students must take the PSAT (Preliminary SAT) and earn a score of fifty (50) or higher on at least one of the three tested areas: critical reading, mathematical reasoning, and proficiency in written English.  Students, who qualify as Junior Scholars, become eligible for a variety of summer enrichment opportunities offered by local and regional colleges, receive special recognition and awards from the state and Spartanburg School District Six.
